“Lions and Tigers and Bears” Tour – Photographic Competition Terms & Conditions
By participating in this competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1. The Promoter
The competition is organized by [Jo Sarsby Management] (“The Promoter”) in partnership with participating Zoological Parks and Safari Parks (“The Partners”).
2. Eligibility
2.1 The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over, except employees of the Promoter, the Partner Zoos, their families, agents, or anyone professionally connected with the competition.
2.2 Entrants under 18 must have the permission of a parent or guardian. If a winner is under 18, the prize must be claimed by their parent or guardian.
3. Competition Period
3.1 The competition opens and closes on specific dates relative to each tour venue/zoo partner.
3.2 Please refer to the “Participating Venues & Dates” schedule (on the website) for the specific entry window for your local venue. Entries received after the closing date for that specific venue will not be counted.
4. How to Enter
4.1 Entry is free. No purchase is necessary; however, the photo must have been taken at one of the participating Partner Zoos/Parks.
4.2 To enter, participants must:
Post a photo they have taken of an animal at a participating Zoo or Safari Park to Instagram, Facebook, or X (Twitter).
Include the hashtag #lionsandtigersandbears in the caption.
Tag @gordonbuchanan_wildlife.
Tag the official social media handle of the specific Zoo/Park where the photo was taken.
4.3 Social media profiles must be set to “Public” so that entries are visible to the judges.
4.4 Entrants may submit multiple entries, provided each photo is unique.
5. Content Guidelines & Ethics
5.1 The photo must be the entrant’s original work.
5.2 Photos must not contain any identifiable people (unless they are family members who have consented).
6. The Prizes
6.1 There will be one winner per participating venue/zoo.
6.2 The Prize package consists of:
Four (4) tickets to see Gordon Buchanan: Lions and Tigers and Bears at the specific venue associated with that competition leg.
One (1) Zoo Prize provided by the Partner Park (e.g., a Family Pass or Animal Adoption Package). The exact nature of this prize varies by location.
6.3 Travel and accommodation are not included.
6.4 Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.
7. Winner Selection
7.1 Winners will be selected by Gordon Buchanan based on creativity, composition, and subject matter.
7.2 Winners will be notified via Direct Message (DM) on the social media platform used to enter within [e.g., 5 days] of the closing date.
7.3 If a winner does not respond within [e.g., 48 hours], the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
8. Intellectual Property & Usage Rights
8.1 The entrant retains the copyright to their photograph.
8.2 By entering, the entrant grants the Promoter, Gordon Buchanan, and the Partner Zoo a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to repost, share, and display the image on their social media channels and websites for the specific purpose of promoting the competition and the Lions and Tigers and Bears tour.
9. Social Media Disclaimer
9.1 This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta (Instagram/Facebook) or X (Twitter).
9.2 By entering, participants release Instagram, Facebook, and X from any liability associated with this promotion.
10. Data Protection
10.1 Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation (GDPR) and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent (except for the purpose of fulfilling the prize).
